Discover your voice’s potential, find and free your voice and begin practising exercises to get the most from it!
An introductory workshop for those who want to learn about their voice and how they can begin to use it more effectively for creative or professional development.
This session covers the introductory work for voice work and the beginnings of exploration of building your voice skills. Perfect for those who want to find and free their voice and those wanting to grow in confidence with their voice.
The course is delivered as a highly practical and interactive workshop and group sizes are kept small, around 8, people to ensure that everyone gets chance to explore their voice’s potential on the day.
It is designed to equip you to learn and begin to practise skills needed to find and free your voice and/or to begin building skills to use your voice more effectively, confidently and with greater impact.
You will be working in pairs and in small groups in order to practise the exercises and delivery back to the whole group at regular intervals.

Anyone who finds their voice lets them down in social situations
People who consider themselves introvert but want to speak up for a purpose and finding difficulties doing so
Who this course is NOT for:
Anyone who really does not want to join in group work. Sorry, you will not benefit from this introductory workshop, you may benefit with a 1-1 coaching programme, please contact me to discuss.
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
18 years plus
Minimum participants to run event:
4. If less than 4 people attending by 5pm on Thursday 25th July 2019 (ticket close date) the event will be cancelled or postponed and you will be offered a full refund or transfer to the postponed course. Although the group sizes are small anyway, the workshop works very differently with less people and therefore 4 - 8 works well.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The venue is a short walk from public transport links and there are nearby carparks. Make sure you give yourself enough time to get there for about 9.45am, so I can meet you all in reception and start promptly at 10am.
What should I bring/wear to the event?
Water - plenty (or refillable bottle to make use of tap).
Food: Light lunch and any light snacks. You may want to pop it in a cool bag if the weather is warm. There is a lot of movement often in these workshops, so please eat lightly. There will be hot drinks and biscuits available.
- Wear comfortable clothing: For most sessions wear clothes that you are comfortable moving in and laying down on the floor.
- Bring a yoga mat, towel, something you can use to lie on the floor in case floor work is used.
Suits/More formal clothing: For events that involve rehearsing presentations we will have done any floor work previously and your suits will be fine. Do check with me if unsure.
Bare or socked feet: The work is best done in bare feet or socks, so make sure you are happy without your footwear with clean feet. In case of cold, you may want to bring something to keep your feet warm (I just use slipper socks if needed and they work fine depending on the flooring and if its slippy – do check this with me if you like).
Do ensure that you are fit and well to attend the event.
If you have asthma, make sure you bring your inhaler.
Any other health issues or movement limitations, let me know during the workshop as relevant so you can take good care of your bodies.Voice Work is for everybody and all exercises are adaptable.
How can I contact the organiser with any questions?
What's the refund policy?
No refunds for this event.
If you are unable to attend, please contact me and give contact details of who you are passing your place on to. I will require their booking details, as you filled out.
